This Weekend at Dancing Cub Farm

It’s a big weekend ahead for Dancing Cub Farm, and I’m excited to share where I’ll be and what I’m bringing. This weekend is split between two very different events — one focused entirely on food service and one dedicated to retail. It’s the perfect combination of visibility, community, and fresh handmade foods.

🍇 Saturday: Star in the Valley Winery – CrushFest (Food Vendor Only)

This Saturday I’ll be serving food at Star in the Valley Winery for CrushFest. This is a food‑only day — no retail items — and the menu is built specifically for winery guests.

I’ll be serving:

• Fresh sandwiches

• Charcuterie‑style picnic boards

• Microgreen‑topped bites

• Crackers and Chips

CrushFest is one of the most popular fall events at the winery, with grape stomping, live music, and beautiful mountain views. It’s always a fun day, and I’m excited to be part of the food lineup.

🌾 Sunday: Middletown Farmers Market (Retail Day)

Sunday is all about retail — your chance to shop the full Dancing Cub Farm lineup. I’ll have:

• Fresh breads

• Gluten Free products

• Mixes

• Microgreens

• Crackers

• Pantry items

• Vinegars

• Croutons, crumbs, chips

• Seasonal favorites

If you’re stocking up for the week or grabbing fresh items for fall meals, Sunday is the perfect day to stop by.

🌱 This Week’s Prep Work

I’ll be spending the week getting everything ready for both days:

• Microgreens harvest

• Bread baking

• Mixes and pantry items

• Event food prep for STG

• Organizing downstairs once new containers arrive

• A little house reset, lawn care, and garden cleanup

• Final shopping on Thursday to keep production rolling

It’s a full but steady rhythm — exactly the kind of week that keeps the farm moving smoothly.

🍁 Looking Ahead: Winter Markets

I’ve applied for Leesburg Saturday Market starting in November, with the option to add Sunday if it’s a good fit. Leesburg runs all winter, which means steady retail opportunities and a strong customer base through the colder months. I’ll share updates as soon as approvals come through.
